AN IDEAL LOCATION RIGHT BY THE CUILLIN RIDGE
Davaar enjoys a superb location in Carbost, the closest settlement to the famous Cuillin mountains, the most magnificent peaks in Britain. The village is right between the main climbing centres of Glen Brittle and Sligachan, both within easy reach.
Carbost has a shop and a traditional Highland inn (serving bar meals), both within easy walking distance of the cottage, as well as a doctors surgery and post office. Also in the village is Talisker, Skye's only distillery and home to one of the most celebrated of all single malts. The distillery runs frequent tours, including tastings, for visitors.

For a gentler ramble, Talisker Bay is just a few miles away, with its sandy beach and wonderful sunsets.
Carbost is right at the centre of the Isle of Skye, making it a perfect place to stay for touring the whole island. Attractions include Dunvegan Castle in the northwest, with Armadale Castle Gardens and the Museum of the Islands in the south. In between are scores of craft studios and galleries, boat trips and beautiful land and seascapes. Many visitors return here time and time again.
